A multimedia franchise by animator Seiji Mizushima, Tatsuya Takahashi and Minatsuki Tooru, ESCHA CHRON (エスカクロン) announced an anime adaption in October last year. The adaption will be ported as original video animation instead of TV anime. A preview video of the two episode series is now released.
The story takes place in a post-apocalyptic future world called Terminal. Chron is a curious girl with bright smiles while her friend Escha is a girl with a mysterious vibe. They are different while somewhat similar at the same time. They start bringing changes to Terminal after they experience the scenery and music in the modern world.
The project started out as a few music videos published online in 2013. It was later made into a reader’s theater session featuring voice actress Chika Anzai and Kiyono Yasuno. Anzai and Yasuno will return to the OVA as Escha and Chron.
