Riot Music launches Kigensho Records, The First Label to Produce 2.5D Artists

Riot Music and its subsidiary SuperYellow, announced the creation of a new sub-label called Kigensho Records, which the group states is the world’s first label to focus on 2.5D artists, artists operating in the virtual world and in the real world.

The creation of this label lets Riot Music increase the music agency’s output, and is also being headed by the production team behind Yuka Nagase’s model and character. This record label will let the artists have more potential in the 2nd dimension, including illustrations, CG animations, and even live-action content.

Riot Music is also holding several auditions for its numerous labels, hoping to hear from songwriters, singers, and other types of performers looking to join in.

About Kigensho Records

Kigensho won’t be strictly producing musical content but also strives to work with established creative teams who have seen success with virtual artists. This suggests that Riot Music is looking to work with other virtual artists’ labels and Vtuber talents, including the likes of Noripro, Hololive, Nijisanji, and others, though it has yet to be explicitly stated which groups they plan to work with, or just specific artists and creators.

The team is being spearheaded by Cat Nap, the team behind Yuka Nagase and her 100,000,000 TikTok hit “Torokeru Tetsugaku”. The group plans on incorporating a style of independent music production in its new developments for a more flexible workflow, and to “foster new developments in music”.
