It was announced that Kaii to Otome to Kamikakushi (Mysteries, Maidens and Mysterious Disappearances), the mystery and supernatural manga series written and illustrated by Nujima, is receiving a TV anime adaptation.
Along with the announcement, a special illustration by the original author has been unveiled, along with the teaser trailer and visual for the anime. In addition, a Twitter gift campaign is also available to commemorate the decision.
Kaii to Otome to Kamikakushi is a “modern-day bizarre romanesque” in which Sumireko Ogawa, an aspiring novelist who loves ghosts, and a mysterious boy called Adashino, who works in the same bookstore as her, solve the many mysterious events that abound in the town.
There are currently no further details about the adaptation and the release date, the animation studio, and other details are expected to be revealed in the coming months.

To celebrate the TV anime adaptation of Kaii to Otome to Kamikakushi, the official Twitter account @totokamiPR will be giving away posters that will be displayed only in bookstores to 10 lucky winners. Entries will be accepted from January 12 until January 26.
To participate just follow the official Twitter account and tweet using the hashtag “#ととと神アニメ化”. However, prizes will be sent only within Japan.

Kaii to Otome to Kamikakushi (Mysteries, Maidens and Mysterious Disappearances) is a Japanese manga series written and illustrated by Nujima. It has been serialized on Shogakukan’s Yawaraka Spirits website since October 2019. Shogakukan has collected its chapters into individual volumes. The first volume was released on April 10, 2020. Volume 5 was released on January 11, 2023 along with the announcement of the TV Anime adaptation.
Mysterious incidents occur one after another in a certain city. The challenge of the mysterious incidents is taken up by the two bookstore employees who have decided to face them, Sumireko Ogawa, a simple girl who is an aspiring novelist full of sex appeal with many admirers behind her, and the enigmatic Adashino, a bookworm who is full of mysteries.
This is the story of a small friendship and a parting of ways through a number of strange occurrences. A modern-day bizarre romanesque with a piercing combination of “weirdness”, “girls”, and “sexuality”.
