An official sneak-peak for Toho’s Trigun Stampede anime was revealed on Sunday, previewing the next episode for the prequel story of Vash the “Humanoid Typhoon ” Stampede.
The trailer notably shows off the appearance of Monev the Gale, the first of the Gung-Ho Guns member to be sent to kill Vash. Alongside the reveal of Monev and his new redesign, a new character, Lolo was shown briefly in the trailer. The two new characters will be voiced by Megumi Han as Lolo and Chikahiro Kobayashi as Monev.
Following the tracks of Knives Millions, young Vash The Stampede is newly joined by Nicholas D. Wolfwood on his journey in pursuit of his evil-tainted twin brother. As the group makes a pit stop during their trek through the red desert, a new threat emerges from the ruins of a wind-torn village.
Trigun Stampede premiered in Japan on January 7, with Crunchyroll bringing it to their streaming platform on the same day.
▍ About Trigun Stampede
Trigun is a manga series written and illustrated by Yasuhiro Nightow, who also later worked on games like Gungrave, and the manga Blood Blockade Battlefront (Kekkai Sensen). The series is set on the fictional planet called No Man’s Land, and follows the story of Vash the Stampede, an inhumanly powerful, yet immensely kind young man who is constantly sought after for his 60 billion dollar bounty.
Trigun Stampede is a prequel series following Vash on the hunt for Millions of Knives across the galaxy. On his adventures, he is hunted for his incredibly high bounty of 6,000,000 dollars, while two reporters are on the search for their latest scoop, by following Vash, who’s also known as the Human Typhoon because of all the tragedy he brings, despite being a pacifist at heart!
