The TV anime adaptation of Rasuko Ookuma’s Hoshikuzu Telepath sci-fi yuri manga is confirmed to premiere sometime in 2023. The anime has also revealed a key visual and the main staff in charge.
The series is directed by Kaori and produced by Studio Gokumi, with series composition by Natsuko Takahashi, and Takahiro Sakai as character designer and chief animation director.
▍About Hoshikuzu Telepath
Hoshikuzu Telepath is a Japanese yuri manga series written and illustrated by Rasuko Ookuma. Serialized in Hōbunsha’s seinen manga magazine Manga Time Kirara since May 9, 2019, with its chapters compiled in three tankōbon volumes to date. The manga was nominated in the seventh Next Manga Awards for the Best Printed Manga Category in 2021.
Umika Konohoshi is a high school student who has a hard time communicating with others, struggling to find the right words, stuttering, and generally unable to express her feelings. Her whole life she feels like she’s some sort of alien on a planet she can’t properly handle, until one day she meets transfer student, Yuu Akeuchi, who claims to actually be an alien and can read minds by touching foreheads. Umika promises to go to space with Yuu, and she and her new friends start working hard to build a rocket.
