Riot Games, creator of hit games League of Legends and Valorant, showcased three titles that will reach the hands of players in 2023 in a newly released “The Year Ahead” trailer. The announcement included The Mageseeker: A League of Legends Story, a new action RPG from Digital Sun Games, the studio behind 2018’s indie rogue-lite game Moonlighter.
The Mageseeker will be joining the previously announced Convergence: A League of Legends Story and Song of Nunu: A League of Legends Story, to be released this year.
▍The Mageseeker: A League of Legends
Mage Seeker: A League of Legends Story is part of the League of Legends Story series, which uses its world to create a non-MOBA title. Riot is billing the game as a “2D hi-bit” title, meaning it features a pixel art style that takes advantage of modern rendering techniques
The Mageseeker is a 2D pixel, gritty action RPG set in Demacia, a powerful kingdom in the world of Rune Terra. Players will play as Sylas, a mage on the run for revenge, fighting to shatter the peace of Demacia’s deception. The game will be available in Spring 2023 for Nintendo Switch, Xbox Series X|S, Xbox One, PlayStation 4, PlayStation 5, and PC via Steam, GOG, and Epic Games Store.
▍Convergence: A League of Legends
Convergence: A League of Legends Story, developed by Double Stallion Games and published by Riot Forge, is a 2D Action Platformer with an incredible art style that focuses on tight dynamic combat and unique exploration opportunities afforded by Ekko’s ability to travel in space and time.
Rewind the Past, Control the Future, Explore and traverse through the spectacular city of Zaun as Ekko, a young inventor with an ingenious device to manipulate time, in this story-driven action platformer. Play as a young Ekko and realize the full potential of one of the League’s fan-favorite Champions. The game will be available in Summer 2023 for Nintendo Switch, Xbox Series X|S, Xbox One, PlayStation 4, PlayStation 5, and PC via Steam, GOG, and Epic Games Store.

Song of Nunu: A League of Legends sets in the idyllic but treacherous world of the Freljord as Nunu, a young boy on a quest to find his lost mother. Unearth the secrets, myths, and legends buried deep in the frozen tundra alongside your best friend, a wise and playful yeti named Willump, and unfold an inspiring story one puzzle at a time.
Developed by Tequila Works, the studio behind RiME, Song of Nunu: A League of Legends Story invites players old and new to experience the League of Legends universe from a fresh lens. The game will be available in Fall 2023 for Nintendo Switch, Xbox Series X|S, Xbox One, PlayStation 4, PlayStation 5, and PC via Steam, GOG, and Epic Games Store.
