Idea Factory’s Otomate brand announced that it will be releasing Hakuoki SSL: Sweet School Life for Nintendo Switch on June 15, 2023 in Japan. It also revealed a new opening movie featuring the theme song “Premonition” sung by Aika Yoshioka.
Hakuoki SSL: Sweet School Life is a spinoff of the Hakuoki otome game series that was originally released on PS Vita in 2014. The game has moved the stage from the end of the Edo period to a modern school, where players can enjoy a bright and slightly sad love story.
Pre-orders of the Nintendo Switch port are also available today. Pre-ordering the game comes with a “Hakuo Academy School Guide”, which collects the character profiles and settings of the game. The game also has a special edition coming with a bonus booklet and card set for the 10 characters.
