Dr. Stone New World, the third season of the anime based on the adventure manga written by Riichiro Inagaki, will be released in two parts premiering on April 6, 2023. The anime’s main trailer was also revealed featuring the opening song “Wasuregataki” (ワスレガタキ) by the singer-songwriter, Huwie Ishizaki.
The trailer follows the new adventure of Senku and his friends, who sail to an uncharted island to find the treasure box left behind by Byakuya Ishigami, but a crisis of unprecedented scale will arise during their journey.
The opening song title is a compound word of “wasure”, meaning “difficult to forget”, and “gataki”, meaning “existence”, as explained by the artist himself. As the artist describes it, the song is an attempt to capture the message of the season, where Senku and his shipmates strive to preserve humanity’s knowledge and technology after being petrified for thousands of years.

Dr. Stone is a Sci-Fi adventure Japanese manga series written by Riichiro Inagaki and illustrated by Boichi. It was serialized in Shueisha’s Weekly Shōnen Jump from March 2017 to March 2022. Viz Media licensed the manga in North America.
After a mysterious event petrifies all of humanity for thousands of years, high-school student Senku Ishigami awakens with a brilliant mind and is determined to bring the world back with the power of science.
