The second season of the romantic comedy anime Fly Me to the Moon/ Tonikawa: Over the Moon for You started streaming its first official trailer, offering a glimpse of the plot and characters for the season. The season will premiere on April 7, 2023.
The trailer showcases how the protagonist, Nasa Yuzaki, decides that his love for Tsukasa is unconditional, for which he surprises her with his casual marriage proposal, to officially celebrate the ceremony. It goes on to reveal the reactions of the other main characters to the news of their marriage, including their friends and family members. The video also features the opening theme song “Oath of a Moment” (刹那の誓い) by Neko Hacker feat. Akari Kitō.
▍About Fly Me To The Moon
Tonikaku Kawaii: Fly Me to the Moon, also known as TONIKAWA: Over the Moon for You, is a Japanese romantic comedy manga written and illustrated by Kenjiro Hata. It has been serialized in Shōgakukan’s Weekly Shūkan Shōnen Sunday since February 14, 2018. The manga has been published in English as Fly Me to the Moon by VIZ Media under the Shonen Sunday imprint since September 8, 2020. The first anime season produced by Seven Arcs premiered on October 2, 2020.
The story follows Nasa Yuzaki, a brilliant young man who is involved in an accident on the day of his high school entrance exams. He is saved by a mysterious girl named Tsukasa Tsukuyomi, who he falls in love with and confesses to at a bus stop. Tsukasa agrees to date him, but only if they get married first. Years later, when Nasa turns 18, Tsukasa appears at his doorstep with a marriage registration form, and they begin their married life together. As their relationship develops, Nasa and Tsukasa become increasingly intimate, holding hands, hugging, and kissing.
