Fate/Grand Order held a special stage at Anime Japan 2023, and during this event revealed an exciting collab with its arcade game counterpart, a new visual for the upcoming Lost Belt, a brand new upgrade system, and the return of three event-limited servants that were previously inaccessible!
The upcoming updates will arrive in spring, and it brings a new skill-tree system called Class Scores that let you upgrade the effects of servants based on their class. Along with that, the game announced it will be running Servant Rerun Campaigns, in which you can clear certain missions to earn items to exchange for welfare servants, with Quetzalcoatl, Shuten Doji, and Kintoki making their return.
The game has an extra-special event lined up for this year’s golden week, with Larva/Tiamat finally making her debut out of the arcade game, and into the mobile game!
Lastly, the game released a trailer for the next story chapter of the game, dubbed Ordeal Call, with new artwork, with two new Extra-class servants.

Every year FGO has something a little special for golden week, and this time it’s a collaboration with the arcade game, bringing none other than Larva/Tiamat into the game as a playable Alter Ego!
The event begins in “late April”, and since Golden week begins on April 29 this year, expect that event to begin during that week or even before that!
▍Fate/Grand Order Event Servant Returns
The servant rerun campaign is finally coming! Starting on April 2, 18:00 [JST], al players will have access to new missions and other requirements that can net them items to be used as exchange tokens for these servants. This feature is also not an event, as it’s a permanent feature ensuring everyone can pick up these characters no matter when they join the game!
In this first run of the campaign, Shuten Doji (Caster), Quetzalcoatl (Ruler), and Sakata Kintoki (Rider) are finally making their return from the game ever since their events reruns were finished years ago. Since this is the first wave of campaigns, expect future welfare servants to make a return, with possibly even Nobunaga Archer being available!
▍Fate/Grand Order Class Score System
Despite how far along the game is in its story, FGO is still adding new upgrade systems with the Class Score system. This new addition to the game will let you upgrade your units based on their class.
Upon completing special quests, special “White Earth” quests will appear allowing you to unlock this new feature, and presumably upgrade materials will also be reliant on these new quest types. The feature is expected to arrive this Spring.
