SNK surprised fans during the EVO 2023 with the announcement of Fatal Fury: City of the Wolves, the highly anticipated installment of its long-running Fatal Fury series. Since last year, SNK has teased that a new entry of the beloved game fighting series will come, but it has remained shrouded in mystery with few details released until today. The developer also revealed a new teaser trailer offering fans a glimpse of what’s to come.
The trailer showcased legendary characters Rock Howard and Terry Bogard in action and hinted at the inclusion of other fan favorites like Mai, B. Jenet, Billy, and Marco. While the platforms and release date are yet to be confirmed, the trailer emphasized that the game is “furiously in development” and SNK is expected to reveal new details in the coming months so stay tuned.
This latest title marks a significant return for SNK’s beloved Fatal Fury series, also known as “Garou” in Japan, which exploded onto the scene in 1991. Fatal Fury: City of the Wolves will be the first new installment since the original release of “Garou: Mark of the Wolves” for the Neo Geo system in 1999 in Japan.
