The Into the Infinite showcase revealed the story adventure game, Song of Nunu: A League of Legends Story with a new trailer giving us a glimpse of what to expect, in the coming Fall of 2023!
Revealed first in 2021 by publishers Riot Forge, Song of Nunu is part of the three-game titles that were showcased alongside Convergence: A League of Legends Story and The Mageseeker: A League of Legends Story to reach players hands in 2023. The project is part of an effort to bring ways for game fans to immerse themselves in the world of Runeterra.
The game centers around the boy and yeti duo, Nunu and Willump as they make their way to the top of the winged mountain in Freljord in search of a treasure called the Heart of the Blue. The trailer shows the two saved by fellow League of Legends champion Braum as they offer to guide the two on their journey.
The trailer also showed off Nunu and Willump in action, with the two shown sledding down treacherous snow slopes, solving runic puzzles in a cave, and smashing stone pillars to build paths across cliffs. Curiously enough, the clips also showed a statue of a frozen bird, possibly hinting that the champion Anivia, the Cryophoenix may also show up at some point in the game.
Developed by Tequila Works, the studios behind games such as RiME and Deadlight, The game invites players old and new to experience the League of Legends universe from a fresh lens.
Song of Nunu: A League of Legends is set in the idyllic but treacherous world of the Freljord as Nunu, a young boy on a quest to find his lost mother. Unearth the secrets, myths, and legends buried deep in the frozen tundra alongside your best friend, a wise and playful yeti named Willump, and unfold an inspiring story one puzzle at a time.
The game will be available for PlayStation 4, PlayStation 5, Xbox Series X|S, Xbox One, Nintendo Switch, and PC via Steam, GOG, and Epic Games Store.
