In Dengeki Bunko Aki no Saiten 2017, the publisher kickstarted a new project for Kazuma Kamachi’s (鎌池和馬) light novel series A Certain Magical Index (とある魔術の禁書目録). At the series’ special stage, a new season for the TV anime adaption and a collaboration with Monster Strike were announced for the said project.
▍TV Anime
The new TV anime is called A Certain Magical Index III (とある魔術の禁書目録 Ⅲ). The coming season will air in 2018, which is already four years after the series’ animated film A Certain Magical Index: The Movie – The Miracle of Endymion, and seven years after the second season. A new anime site has been launched and an announcement video has been published.
▍Monster Strike Collaboration
Demgki is having its 25th birthday this year. To celebrate the occasion, it will have a collaboration with Mixi’s mobile game Monster Strike (モンスターストライク). A Certain Magical Index’s spin-off series A Certain Scientific Railgun (とある科学の超電磁砲 ) will participate in this crossover. Two characters have been revealed to be available soon in the game.

▍A Certain Magical Virtual-On
An crossover with Sega’s Cyber Troopers Virtual-On on console, A Certain Magical Virtual On (とある魔術のバーチャロン) confirmed arrival on 15th February 2018 at the Dengeki event. The game will be available on PS4 and PSV.
