▍Become a Security Guard to Protect Your Oshi — Inspect Visitors by Day, Watch Her Streams by Night
In Do You Want To Know Your Oshi?, players take on the role of a newly assigned security guard at STELLARIA.
However, the reason for taking the job has little to do with justice or stable income. The protagonist has been a longtime fan of the agency’s VTuber Hoshina Luna, supporting her since her debut. Wanting to get closer to their Oshi than anyone else and protect her personally, the protagonist chooses to become a security guard at the agency.
During the day, players inspect visitors arriving at the agency and determine whether they should be allowed inside. At night, they return to their role as a hardcore fan, watching Luna’s streams and sending red Super Chats.
As the days pass, an unsettling gap begins to emerge between the sweet smile Luna shows on stream and the reality witnessed at the agency entrance.
The question gradually becomes impossible to ignore:
“Do you really know your Oshi?”
▍Inspect Documents, Detect Discrepancies — Security Procedures Grow More Complex
The core gameplay revolves around inspecting documents and cross-checking information to determine whether each visitor should be allowed into the agency.
Players must examine entry passes, visitor schedules, affiliation certificates, and other documents while looking for discrepancies. As the days go by, additional inspection procedures are introduced, including entry pass and schedule checks, anti-forgery hologram verification, X-rays of belongings, emergency procedures for forced intrusions, and voice authentication.
If something seems suspicious, players can also question visitors directly. Whether to believe what they say or trust the documents in front of you is ultimately up to the player.
▍“Ideal” vs. “Reality” — What Will You Choose to Protect Your Oshi?
The game places players between two contrasting identities.
By day, you are a security guard mechanically inspecting visitors at the agency entrance. By night, you become a hardcore fan following your Oshi’s livestreams and sending red Super Chats.
The protagonist came to STELLARIA to protect their beloved Oshi. But if following the agency’s rules means failing to protect her, should you continue to obey—or break the rules to defend her?
Your judgment and obsession will determine how this journey unfolds.
