After Persona 5, Atlus is finally making a direct sequel to the Shin Megami Tensei franchise. The developer livestreamed a mysterious trailer yesterday, revealing the long awaited Shin Megami Tensei V (真‧女神転生 V).
The backdrop is modern Tokyo. There are high school students walking across the station while demon corpses are laying in tunnels. The students are then surrounded by demons in the Tokyo wasteland. There are also two mysteries words – “Shekinah Glory” and “Daath”.
At the end of the video, it says “we are looking for a new myth”.
It will be released for Switch only. The release date is unknown.
