Square Enix’s coming mobile RPG Battle of Blades (バトル オブ ブレイド) released a closed beta today. Players are able to try most of the features in this testing, which lasts until 23:59 on 5th November 2017 (GMT +9). Unfortunately, saves won’t be carried over to the official release, more importantly, there are only 2,000 participant vacancies.
Pre-registration is still on-going. It is scheduled for 2017 release.
Battle of Blades is made by The Mana series’ producer Sho Oyamada and written by Fate/Apocrypha’s author Yuichiro Higashide. Not only is it a huge crossover between two renowned men in the industry, it is also a huge crossover between multiple series that players are familiar with – NieR:Automata, The Mana series, Romancing SaGa and Ka-ri-Sei Million Arthur. In the game, weapons from these titles will be obtainable!

Multiplayer is the focus of Battle of Blades. Players can participate in both real time 4 vs 4 battles and 4-player cooperative battles. Story mode is where players can play individually.
