If you’re even somewhat of an otaku, you’ll surely know Jump, the publication titan with series including Dragon Ball Z, Naruto, Bleach, My Hero Academia, and so much more! If just seeing these series is enough to get you hyped, then J World might just be something you’ll want to stop by.
▍J World Preview
▍What is J-World Tokyo?
J-World Tokyo is an attraction created by Bandai Namco Entertainment with the support of the Weekly Shonen Jump publication. To put it simply, it is a themed attraction will all your favorite Jump series. Within J-World, you’ll find Jump-themed everything alongside all sorts of games and rides from iconic Jump series.
▍What’s Special?
Though J World isn’t by any means big, it still has quite a lot for Jump fans to see! Asides from a variety of displays themed after iconic Jump series, the site is also filled with a variety of different mini-games that you can try. Asides from games, J World also has a wide range of “photo booths” that visitors can use to take themed pictures with iconic elements from their favorite series, from Vegeta’s Space Pod and Piccolo’s Special Beam Cannon from Dragon Ball to Ace’s Entei from Once Piece.
If you ever get hungry, J World has a special food court that sells special dishes iconic to different Jump series.
Before you leave you can take a look at the J World official merch store. Though it doesn’t necessarily have the latest merch for your favorite series, they still have quite a wide selection of things that could be hard to find elsewhere.
▍Ticketing
Personally, I don’t think there’s a need to book a ticket unless you’re going during special holidays or during the weekends. I would recommend going after 5 PM for cheaper tickets. J World closes at 10 PM, five hours is more than enough time to get the most out of your visit. There are some attractions that have additional costs. There is an Unlimited Attractions Pass which gives you access to them but considering you might not want to try all of them it may be better to just get the after five passes and pay for the attractions you want to try. Additionally, if you plan to go early, remember to bring your passport, you’ll get a discount!
