On January 6th, 2017, the creators of "The King of Fighters" and "Samurai Spirits", SNK, made a tweet mentioning an audition for a new mobile RPG project. In the link they provided, we are given a look at some of the characters that will appear in the new game.
The new RPG project is due for 2017. However, other than the Boku no Hero Academia-esque character arts and how the game will combine Academic Story with Hero Drama, SNK offered no further detail on the project.
A new set of information is set to be released in Spring 2017, so until then all we can do is wait.
