The TV anime adaptation of Reiji Miyajima’s (宮島礼吏) manga series “Rent-A-Girlfriend” (彼女、お借りします) updated a new character PV and visual on 22nd January, introducing bright and hardworking girlfriend, Sumi Sakurasawa (桜沢墨), voiced by Rie Takahashi (高橋李依).
The anime is scheduled to premiere in July 2020.

▍Story
When Kazuya Kinoshita broke up with his girlfriend Mami Nanami after dating for about a month, he was so depressed that he wanted to end his life. He is suggested to use a service to rent a girlfriend named Chizuru Mizuhara, a beautiful and attractive girl.
However, because she appears to be too perfect and superficial, he gives her a low rating, but then Chizuru scolds him for that and reveals she is meaner than he expected. However, when Kazura’s grandmother collapses in the hospital, he brings her along and the grandmother is smitten with how great she is. Kazuya tries to continue renting Chizuru in order to keep up appearances with his family and friends, but things get complicated when they discover they are next-door apartment neighbors and attend the same college. Later, other girls from the girlfriend business also join in dating and showing interest in Kazuya.

The series is animated by TMS Entertainment and directed by “Rainy Cocoa, Welcome to Rainy Color” director Kazuomi Koga (古賀 一臣), with “Digimon Adventure tri” movie series screenplay Mitsutaka Hirota (広田 光毅) handling series composition, Kanna Hirayama (平山寛菜) designing the characters, and Hyadain composing the music.
