The official website for the Utawarerumono: Mask of Truth anime revealed a new key visual, the first trailer. In the video, we get a list of the anime’s additional cast, as well as an announcement that it would have an episode count of 28. The anime will premiere this July.
Utawarerumono: Mask of Truth is the final chapter of the Utawarerumono anime series, an adaptation of the game trilogy, with its first chapter aired in Japan between April 3 and September 25, 2006.
In the story, chaos has taken hold of the land in Mask of Truth as a conniving general has unlawfully seized the throne of the mighty Yamato Empire. The only ones that stand in his way are a couple of familiar faces who must rally different kingdoms together and fight against the powerful Imperial army.
