At a live stream aired on May 25, it was announced that Good Smile Company and Nitroplus’ Warau Ars Notoria mobile game is getting a TV anime! Titled Smile of the Arsnotoria the Animation, the anime series will premiere on July 6. A teaser visual and video were also revealed for the announcement.
The main cast members from the smartphone game will reprise their roles in the anime, which include Misaki Kunoa as Arsnotria, Misharu Hanai as Mel, Miyu Tomita as Petit Albert, Eri Yukimura as Picatrix, and Eriko Matsui as Abramerin. An original anime character is also featured in the teaser visual, and details will be announced in June.
The series is also getting a comic and novel adaptation, which will start serializing at Monthly Dragon Age on June 9 by Masaki Hattori. The manga will pick up chapters that are available in the TV anime. The novel is published by Famitsu Bunko, and will tell a spin-off story centered on the original anime characters.

Warau Ars Notoria was launched in Japan on March 4, 2021, by Good Smile Company and Nitroplus. The mobile game is a 20th-anniversary project of visual novel video game developer Nitroplus. Otsuka Shinichiro, illustrator of “Summon Night” and “Re:Zero − Starting Life in Another World,” is in charge of the main character design.
The game’s story centers on “You,” who lost most of your memories and becomes a teacher at a secret academy where normal people can’t see. In the academy, there are girls known as “Pentagrams” (ペンタグラム) who are learning how to become “proper ladies”. It seems you are living a busy life surrounded by them, but little did you know this is the prelude to battle against the “Knights”…
