The mecha anime Fafner in the Azure<\/strong><\/a> \/ Sokyu no Fafner released a new key visual for its spin-off anime film, Behind the Line. The anime film will also be getting advanced screenings in select theatres across Japan. Behind the Line is a “peaceful spin-off” based on the Fafner in the Azure war mecha anime series.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

The anime film will feature returning staff and cast members, including Takanashi Noto as the director, Tow Ubukata on script writing, character designer Hisashi Hirai, Mechanical Designer Naohiro Washio, and Composer Tsneyoshi Saito. Makoto Ishii returns as Kazuki Makabe, Koihei Kiyasu as Soshi Minashiro, Marika Matsumoto as Maya Tomi, and Sanae Kobayashi as Canon Memphis-Hazama.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Fafner in the Azure is a mecha anime franchise created by XEBEC. The story centers around a group of children who pilot giant machines called Fafners, in a war against aliens called Festums. The series began as a TV anime series in 2004, and has also been adapted into a light novel, two mangas, an original video animation titled Right of Left, two anime films titled Heaven and Earth, and The Beyond, a sequel anime titled Exodus and the new spin-off, Behind the Line. <\/p>\n\n\n\n
