Bandai Namco Entertainment announced that the mobile RPG Sword Art Online Unleash Blading<\/strong><\/a> is shutting down both its Japanese and Global servers on January 16, after it initially began service on November 21, lasting for 3 years and 2 months.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

It’s been speculated among players and the community that the game would inevitably shut down Sword Art Online Variant Showdown<\/strong><\/a> was announced, citing that the game’s update cycle has been slowed down and Bandai would be putting more resources into the newer, fancier title. While it’s unknown if Integral Factor will also be shutting down, no announcement has been made for that title as of yet.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

The game has since suspended the sale of all premium currency and on the global end, hasn’t stated if it will be issuing refunds for unused Diamond Cubes.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Sword Art Online Unleash Blading is a turn-based RPG based on the Alicization story arc from the SAO anime and light novel series.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Players join Kirito, Eugeo, and friends to rescue alice from the underworld. The game lets you experience both the anime’s storyline as well as more in-depth character stories and world-building of the SAO series.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Recruit characters and unleash attacks from the series based on various incarnations of each characters, and take down your enemies through brute force and strategy<\/p>\n\n\n\n
