Yoruhashi’s The Kingdoms of Ruin<\/strong><\/a> dark-fantasy manga is receiving a television anime adaptation that is set to premiere sometime in 2023. The staff of the anime series has revealed a key visual, a commemorative illustration by the manga\u2019s author and main cast alongside the announcement.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

The role of Adonis, a boy who swears revenge for the death of his beloved master, will be played by Kaito Ishikawa, and the role of Doroka, a girl held captive in a prison camp in the Redia Empire, will be played by Azumi Waki.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Keitaro Motonaga directs the anime series, with series composition by Takamitsu Kouno, character design by Hiromi Kato, and music by Miki Sakurai, Shu Kanematsu, and Hanae Nakamura. Yokohama Animation Lab is animating the series.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Hametsu no Oukoku is a Japanese manga series written and illustrated by yoruhashi. It began serialization in Mag Garden’s Monthly Comic Garden magazine in April 2019. It has been published in English as The Kingdoms of Ruin by Seven Seas Entertainment since December 1, 2020.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

The story takes place in the Redia Empire, where witches, who once brought wisdom and peace to mankind, are regarded as enemies of humanity due to the Gear Expansion. Adonis, a human raised by the witch Chloe but lost her in a witch hunt, vows to take revenge against his people, the human race. What kind of “salvation” will Adonis, fed by despair, find at the end of his killing spree?<\/p>\n\n\n\n
