NIS America has announced the release date of the upcoming shoot ’em up Raiden III x Mikado Maniax<\/a><\/strong> for PlayStation 5, PlayStation 4, Xbox Series X|S, Xbox One, Nintendo Switch, and PC via Steam, coming June 6 in North America, June 9 in Europe and June 16 in Oceania. The game first launches in Japan on February 23.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Raiden III x Mikado Maniax celebrates the 30th anniversary of the Raiden series and marks 18 years after the game’s initial release on PlayStation 2, PC, and arcade. It features a multitude of new features on the latest hardware.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Raiden III was originally released in 2005 and was the first 3D entry in the series. Despite being released eleven years after its predecessor, it faithfully retained the classic Raiden essence that fans love.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Players will experience the original vertical-screen arcade experience, choosing from game modes such as Score Attack, Boss Rush, and Double Play, being able to control two ships at once. New heights can be reached by competing against other players online in the World Rankings, and the gaming experience can be further enhanced by choosing between original and remix background music.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
