The TV anime adaptation of Hitsuji Yamada’s The Masterful Cat Is Depressed Again Today<\/strong><\/a> will start airing in July 2023. It also revealed a key visual, main cast, and staff. Yui Ishikawa is voicing the office worker Saku Fukuzawa while Hiroki Yasumoto is playing the cat, Yukichi.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Susumu Kudou is the general director, while Katsumasa Yokomine is the director. The animation production is handled by GoHands studio, with a screenplay by Tamazo Yanagi, and character design by Takayuki Uchida.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

The manga is an everyday comedy about the lives of Saku Fukuzawa, an office worker with devastating non-work-related life skills, and Yukichi, a large anthropomorphic black cat that perfectly handles the housework on her behalf.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

The Masterful Cat Is Depressed Again is a Japanese manga series written and illustrated by Hitsuji Yamada. Began serialization in Kodansha’s Suiy\u014dbi no Sirius online manga section on the Nico Nico Seiga website in August 2018, also published in Monthly Sh\u014dnen Sirius since October 2021. The manga has been licensed in English by Seven Seas Entertainment.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Saku is an ordinary young woman who works long hours and lives alone with her cat, Yukichi. However, he is not an ordinary house cat. For one, the temperamental feline towers over Saku and walks around on two legs. Instead of playing with toy mice, he scours supermarket flyers for good deals and keeps the house spotless. With a pet like that, it\u2019s hard to tell who\u2019s taking care of who!<\/p>\n\n\n\n
