The news was announced by his long term employer Studio\u00a0Khara.<\/p>\n<p>Shoichi Masuo became\u00a0famous for being\u00a0a\u00a0key animator for\u00a0TV anime series Neon Genesis\u00a0Evangelion in 1995. He then developed a close partnership with the series&#8217; father\u00a0Hideaki Anno and had\u00a0worked for every\u00a0Evangelion spin-off.
