Capcom is releasing a series of light-hearted anime shorts for Resident Evil 4 Remake, titled the Resident Evil Masterpiece Theater, with Episode 1 out now.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

And yes, these animation shorts are hilariously based on an old-school anime art style reminiscent of Dog of Flanders created by Nippon Animation studio, which had many famous animators on its staff including Hayao Miyazaki!<\/p>\n\n\n\n

The series comically retells Leon’s journey in RE4, with the first episode going over his encounter in the village, which you can play right now in the game’s Chainsaw Demo.<\/strong><\/a><\/p>\n\n\n\n

Since Capcom titled the latest short Episode 1, hopefully, we can look forward to a few more before the game officially launches on March 23.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
