Written by Shin Kouzuki and illustrated by Chocoan, the fantasy light novel series The Banished Former Hero Lives as He Pleases<\/a><\/strong> is getting a TV anime adaptation co-produced by Studio Deen and Marvy Jack! It was also announced that Japanese singer and voice actor Sh\u014dta Aoi will be voicing the protagonist, Allen.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Along with the anime announcement, the staff for the series, a teaser visual, and comments from Sh\u014dta Aoi, author Shin Kouzuki, manga artist Karasumaru, and illustrator Chocoan were revealed.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

The Banished Former Hero Lives as He Pleases, initially published on Sh\u014dsetsuka ni Nar\u014d, revolves around Allen, a former hero with the memories and powers of a past life, who was banished from his ducal household. He embarks on a journey seeking the peaceful life he couldn’t achieve in his previous life.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Kazuomi Koga is directing the anime at Studio Deen and Marvy Jack. Rintarou Ikeda is handling the series composition, with screenplay by Yoshiki \u014ckusa, and character design by Saori Hosoda.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Sh\u014dta Aoi, the voice actor for Allen, expressed his excitement and commitment to the role, vowing to bring the character to life and hoping viewers look forward to the broadcast. Author Shin Kouzuki expressed gratitude to the readers and everyone involved in the production, noting that he is looking forward to seeing the final product as a viewer himself. Initially launched on the Sh\u014dsetsuka ni Nar\u014d website by author Shin Kouzuki in January 2018, The Banished Former Hero Lives as He Pleases was then published by TO Books with illustrations by Chocoan. It started with the first volume in October 2018 and continues up to the fifth volume, released in February 2020. In 2019, a manga adaptation of the series, by Karasumaru, debuted on the Nico Nico Seiga website.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

The series centers around the life of Allen, a young man ostracized from his ducal household due to his perceived lack of special abilities. In this world, upon reaching adulthood, individuals are bestowed “blessings and gifts from the gods” which shape the trajectory of their lives. However, Allen, failing to manifest any such powers, is scorned and ridiculed, leading to his exile.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

In his new lifestyle, Allen seeks the serenity and tranquility that eluded him in his past, moving to a remote land to escape societal pressures and expectations. But unbeknownst to all, Allen carries with him the memories and powers from his past life as a hero. His new journey in search of peace is imbued with the wisdom and abilities of his heroic past.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
