Publisher Shiravune announced in a Twitter post that it is canceling the Steam releases of Dungeon Travelers 2 and Dungeon Travelers 2-2<\/strong><\/a>.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

The publisher stated that “Steam\u2019s review made it impossible to pass while keeping the core appeal and high standards we hold for these titles.” and then apologized to those who were looking forward to its release. The game previously had trouble getting a listing on the Steam digital storefront as the developers were facing difficulties with it, though now the game won’t be available on the platform at all despite Steam’s rather lax requirements when it comes to other titles with adult content.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

While it won’t be coming to Steam, Dungeon Travelers 2 and Dungeon Travelers 2-2 are now available on Johren\u2019s website<\/strong><\/a>, and can be purchased for USD$19.99 each,<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Dungeon Travelers is a dungeon-crawler RPG developed by Stnig Entertainment, and is a spin-off to the To Heart 2 Franchise, initially taking the characters from To Heart 2 to a whole different fantasy RPG setting.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

The series has you take on the role of an adventurer with a party, going through dungeons, picking up loot, and avoiding traps while battling enemies in turn-based combat. The game is primarily played in the first-person perspective on a grid, similar to other RPGS of the genre like the SMT series and early Persona games. Party members can belong to a single class with multiple subclasses available after meeting certain requirements.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

As you battle you’ll seal anthropomorphic versions f many monsters and have fairly risque-looking scenes and images pop up on the screen. <\/p>\n\n\n\n

The game was previously heavily censored from its Western and Japanese releases, and while Shiravune hasn’t explicitly stated whether or not the censorship will remain in this, its struggle to pass Steam’s review process may be an indicator that it’s keeping the game mostly uncensored.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
