At yesterday’s MF Bunko J Summer School Festival livestream, Kadokawa showcased the second trailer for the anime adaptation of Yu Shimizu and Asagi Tosaka’s The Demon Sword Master of Excalibur Academy<\/strong><\/a> light novel series. A new poster was also revealed confirming that the anime will be airing sometime in October 2023.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Chiai Fujikawa performs the opening theme song “Thousand Year Love” (1000\u5e74\u611b), while the singer-songwriter Kaho performs the ending theme song “Leisurely” (\u3086\u308b\u308a). The anime series is directed by Hiroyuki Morita and animated by Passione, with Takayuki Noguchi in charge of character design and Yuuji Nomi composing the music.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

The story of The Demon Sword Master of Excalibur Academy revolves around the misadventures of the Undead King, Leonis Death Magnus. Led by the Six Dark Lords, humanity was said to have been wiped out. However, humanity had hope in the form of the Six Heroes. With their combined might, the Six Dark Lords fell one by one until finally, Leonis himself remained.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

The Undead King would meet his end, but not before sealing his own body in a powerful spell and casting a resurrection spell, that would allow him to rise once more. Leonis declared that he would concede only this once, but shall rise again in 1000 years to conquer humanity and save them from extinction.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
