At yesterday’s MF Bunko J Summer School Festival, Kadokawa announced more information about the television anime Sasaki and Peeps<\/a><\/strong>, inspired by the light novel series written by Buncololi and illustrated by Kantoku. In conjunction with the announcement, more cast members were revealed.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Mirai Minato is directing the anime at SILVER LINK. Deko Akao is writing the series’ scripts and Saori Nakashiki is designing the characters based on Kantoku’s illustrations. Rie Takahashi voices over Hoshizaki, Sasaki’s senior at the company, and Akari Kit\u014d voices over the junior high school girl who lives next door to Sasaki’s apartment, known as Otonari-san.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Buncololi began serializing the Sasaki and Peeps light novel as a web novel on the novel posting websites Kakuyomu and Sh\u014dsetsuka ni Nar\u014d in December 2018, before beginning publication under Media Factory\u2019s MF Bunko J imprint in January 2021.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

The story focuses on Sasaki, a corporate salaryman whose life is constantly filled with work, and as such, every day leaves him tired and unfulfilled. In search of some companionship to fill the emptiness in his life, he visits a pet shop on a whim, not realizing he\u2019s about to change his life forever.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

After settling on an adorable bird and bringing it home\u2026his new roommate reveals that it\u2019s actually an incredible sage from another world who promptly bestows Sasaki with supernatural powers as well as the ability to cross between worlds. All Sasaki wants to do is use these newfound powers to live in peace and comfort, but there are more than a few colorful characters who might get in the way of that!<\/p>\n\n\n\n
