<\/p>\nWith a box office of 3,840 million yen alone in Japan last year, live action Gintama aims to hit a new high with a sequel – Gintama 2 (tentative title) (\u9280\u9b42\uff12). The movie is coming 17th August this year.<\/p>\n

According to the director Yuichi Fukuda’s twitter, filming has already begun. The arc\u00a0that the coming work is based on\u00a0is not yet revealed, but the confirmed cast which includes\u00a0Kiheitai and Shinsengumi members may say something about the story.<\/p>\n
Gintama is adapted from the manga of the same title, which is illustrated and written by Hideaki Sorachi (\u7a7a\u77e5\u82f1\u79cb), and serialized in Weekly Shonen Jump. It is coming to an end this month.<\/p>\n
In the first movie, Sakata Gintoki is portrayed by Oguri Shun, Kagura is portrayed by Hashimoto Kanna and Shimura Shinpachi is by Suda Masaki. Other actors includes Masami Nagasawa (Tae Shimura), Okada Masaki (Kotaro Katsura), Tsuyoshi Muro (Gengai Hiraga), Y\u016bya Yagira (Toshirou Hijikata), Ryo Yoshizawa (Sougo Okita), Kankuro Nakamura (Isao Kondou), Tsuyoshi Domoto (Shinsuke Takasugi). It is adapted from the\u00a0Benizakura Arc of\u00a0the original manga. In this arc, Kotaro Katsura is attacked by a member of Kiheitai.\u00a0The Yorozuya trio (Gintoki, Shinpachi and Kagura) then go searching for him, and the searching eventually turns into bloodshed.<\/p>\n
