On 8th March, Fuji-TV announced that Niantic’s location-based mobile game INGRESS (\u30a4\u30f3\u30b0\u30ec\u30b9) will be receiving an adaptation estimated to air in October.<\/p>\n

INGRESS’ anime adaptation will be the series of Fuji-TV’s new anime platform “Plus Ultra”. In celebration of this first project, Pokemon GO’s CG artist Youhei Sakuragi (\u6afb\u6728\u512a\u5e73) was invited to be the series’ Director.<\/p>\n

The series’ official website provides an English synopsis:<\/p>\n

“At the CERN facility in Geneva, in the shadow of discovery of the Higgs-Boson, a secret project was taking place: The Niantic Project, where scientists discovered a mysterious substance that can interface directly with the human brain.<\/p>\n
