<\/p>\nAnime adaptation of Kei Ii\u2019s (\u4f0a\u4e95\u572d) 1999 Japanese mystery novel Woodpecker Detective’s Office (\u5544\u6728\u9ce5\u63a2\u5075\u8655) revealed main visual and the main cast members. It is scheduled to premiere in April 2020.<\/p>\n

Private Investigator Takuboku Ishikawa (\u77f3\u5ddd\u5544\u6728) will be voiced by Shintar\u014d Asanuma (\u6d45\u6cbc \u664b\u592a\u90ce), while Ky\u014dsuke Kindaichi (\u91d1\u7530\u4e00\u4eac\u52a9) wll be voiced by Takahiro Sakurai (\u6afb\u4e95 \u5b5d\u5b8f). Voice actor Kenjiro Tsuda will also join the cast, but the character is not yet announced.<\/p>\n
The series is animated by Liden Films, with Tomoe Makino (\u7267\u91ce\u53cb\u6620)serving as director, and \u201cHanebad!\u201d director Shinpei Ezaki (\u6c5f\u5d0e \u614e\u5e73) serving as chief director. \u201cHaikyuu!!\u201d script writer and series composition Taku Kishimoto (\u5cb8\u672c\u5353) is handling the series composition.<\/p>\n
The story takes place in 1909 during Japan’s Meiji era. The novel tells the fictional story of Takuboku Ishikawa (a real life poet) who runs a detective agency with his friend Ky\u014dsuke Kindaichi, a real life linguist. They join hands to investigate a ghost appearances at the Asakusa J\u016bnikai building, known as the Ry\u014dunkai.<\/p>\n
