Sony Pictures revealed two teaser posters and several visuals\u00a0for the live-action movie of Capcom\u2019s popular video game \u201cMonster Hunter\u201d<\/a> this Friday (29th February) and confirmed that the film will premiere on 4th September 2020 in Japan and the US.<\/p>\n

The movie stars Milla Jovovich as Captain Natalie Artemis and Tony Jaa as The Hunter. Fans will recognize the giant sword from the first poster as the Giant Jawblade from Monster Hunter World. The second poster shows Jaa cradling a Great Hunter’s Bow in his grip.<\/p>\n

The film is being directed by Paul W. S. Anderson, who previously directed \u201cMortal Kombat\u201d, \u201cEvent Horizon\u201d, and multiple films in the \u201cResident Evil \u201cseries. The film is about Jovovich\u2019s character, a Lt. Artemis, who is transported to the realm of monsters from the real world and must fight alongside Jaa in order to survive.<\/p>\n
