Tsutomu Nihei\u2019s (\u5f10\u74f6 \u52c9) mecha manga series \u201cKnights of Sidonia\u201d (\u30b7\u30c9\u30cb\u30a2\u306e\u9a0e\u58eb) is confirmed to inspire a new smartphone game for 2021 and it will be developed by WFS, the game studio that created “Another Eden: The Cat Beyond Time and Space.”<\/p>\n

A new anime film, under the title of \u201cKnights of Sidonia: Ai Tsumugu Hoshi\u201d (\u30b7\u30c9\u30cb\u30a2\u306e\u9a0e\u58eb \u3042\u3044\u3064\u3080\u3050\u307b\u3057) is also announced for 2021.<\/p>\n

Details of the game project have not yet been revealed, only that the game will be coming to iOS and Android devices in mid of 2021. A teaser site has been opened for future announcement.<\/p>\n

\u258d<\/strong><\/span>Anime Film \u201cKnights of Sidonia: Ai Tsumugu Hoshi\u201d<\/h4>\n

Tsutomu is credited as the chief supervisor of the anime film \u201cKnights of Sidonia: Aitsumugu Hoshi\u201d. It will follow a completely original story that is not included in the manga.<\/p>\n

Hiroyuki Seshita (\u702c\u4e0b\u5bdb\u4e4b) will serve as chief director, while Tadahiro Yoshihira (\u5409\u5e73 “Tady” \u76f4\u5f18) serves as director for the new film, with Polygon Pictures returning for production. Sadayuki Murai (\u6751\u4e95\u3055\u3060\u3086\u304d) and Tetsuya Yamada (\u5c71\u7530\u54f2\u5f25) are returning to write scripts, while Sh\u016bji Katayama (\u7247\u5c71\u4fee\u5fd7) is composing the music. The rest of the staff and cast are returning to reprise their roles.<\/p>\n

A teaser video that previews the ending theme song \u201cUtsusemi\u201d (\u3046\u3064\u305b\u307f) performed by CAPSULE has been revealed. The film will open in 2021 in Japan.<\/p>\n
