Then I Pick Up a High School Girl.” (\u3072\u3052\u3092\u5243\u308b\u3002\u305d\u3057\u3066\u5973\u5b50\u9ad8\u751f\u3092\u62fe\u3046\u3002) is confirmed to inspire a TV anime series by project No.9. The character designs of the protagonists, Yoshida and Sayu, have been revealed.<\/p>\n

The series is directed by Manabu Kamikita (\u4e0a\u5317\u5b66), with the scripts written by Deko Akao (\u8d64\u5c3e\u3067\u3053), the series composition of \u201cNoragami\u201d and \u201cSnow White with the Red Hair.\u201d Takayuki Noguchi (\u91ce\u53e3\u5b5d\u884c) from \u201cAngel’s 3Piece\u201d is designing the characters.<\/p>\n

\u201cHige o Soru. Soshite Joshi K\u014dsei o Hirou.\u201dis a romantic comedy light novel series which began serialization online in March 2017 on Kadokawa’s user-generated novel publishing website Kakuyomu. It was later published by Kadokawa Shoten with three volumes since February 2018 under their Kadokawa Sneaker Bunko imprint.<\/p>\n

The series has sold over 700,000 copies and took the 4th place in the bunkobon edition of Takarajimasha’s annual light novel guide book Kono Light Novel ga Sugoi! (\u3053\u306e\u30e9\u30a4\u30c8\u30ce\u30d9\u30eb\u304c\u3059\u3054\u3044\uff01) in 2019. Its fourth volume will be published on 1st August 2020.<\/p>\n

A manga adaptation with art by Imaru Adachi has been serialized in Kadokawa Shoten’s sh\u014dnen manga magazine Monthly Sh\u014dnen Ace since November 2018. It has been collected in two tank\u014dbon volumes.<\/p>\n

The story begins when 26-year-old Yoshida, an employee at a major IT company, meets a high school girl on his way home after drinking. Yoshida’s crush had decisively rejected him after he pined for her for five years, and he had decided to drink his sorrow. Sayu, the runaway high school girl he meets, says they could sleep together if he lets her stay with him. Yoshida chides the girl for the suggestion but eventually lets her stay with him.<\/p>\n
