The final season of the TV anime \u201cFruits Basket\u201d<\/a>\u00a0is confirmed to air in 2021. The news was announced right after the airing of the last episode of the 2nd season yesterday (21st September).<\/p>\n

In the 25th (last) episode of the 2nd season, the curse of Kureno Sohma (CV: Y\u016bichir\u014d Umehara) is broken, while the true identity of the series’ key person Akito Sohma (CV: Maaya Sakamoto) is revealed. The final chapter will continue to follow Tohru\u2019s determination to break the curses of the Sohma Family and unveil the past wounds of Akito.<\/p>\n

To celebrate the announcement, the anime\u2019s official site has updated a new visual collecting the illustrations of the manga author Natsuki Takaya.<\/p>\n

\u258d<\/strong><\/span>Synopsis<\/h4>\n

The story centers on Tohru Honda, an orphan girl who, after meeting Yuki, Kyo, and Shigure Sohma, learns that twelve members of the Sohma family are possessed by the animals of the Chinese zodiac and are cursed to turn into their animal forms when they are weak, stressed, or when they are embraced by anyone of the opposite sex that is not possessed by a zodiacal spirit.<\/p>\n

As the series progresses, Tohru learns of the hardships and pain faced by the afflicted Sohmas, and through her own generous and loving nature, helps heal their emotional wounds.<\/p>\n
