In celebration of the 10th anniversary of Kunihiko Ikuhara’s \u201cPenguindrum\u201d original anime, a new compilation film project \u201cRe:cycle of Penguindrum\u201d<\/a>\u00a0was announced. The film project will re-edit all 24 episodes of the TV anime with new parts included.<\/p>\n

A special site together with the 10th-anniversary logo and the illustration of “Princess of the Crystal” drawn by character designer Lily Hoshino is revealed. Ikuhara returns to direct the project and Lapin Track is the animation studio instead of BRAIN\u2019S BASE, which animated the TV series.<\/p>\n

\u201cPenguindrum\u201d is an\u00a0<\/span>original TV anime series aired in 2011.\u00a0The psychological drama story begins when a girl named Himari Takakura passes away after going out on a trip with her brothers Kanba and Sh\u014dma. A spirit in a penguin hat appears and miraculously saves her. However, in exchange for saving Himari’s life, the brothers must search for the Penguindrum for the spirit. A trio of strange penguins accompany the siblings on their quest.<\/p>\n
