The TV anime adaptation of Magi: The Labyrinth of Magic author Shinobu Ohtaka\u2019s Orient<\/a> manga has revealed a teaser visual, main cast and staff. It is set to debut in 2022.<\/p>\n

The fantasy story revolves around 15-year-old Musashi and his childhood friend Kojiro in Japan’s Sengoku period. At the time, Japan was ruled by Demons. Musashi tries to confront the demons with a special power. Y\u016bma Uchida will play Musashi in the anime, while S\u014dma Sait\u014d will play Kojiro.<\/p>\n

The series is directed by High School DxD director Tetsuya Yanagisawa and animated by ACGT. Ascendance of a Bookworm script writer Mariko Kunisawa is in charge of series composition. Haikyu!!\u2019s Takahiro Kishida is designing the characters.<\/p>\n

At age 10, best friends Musashi and Kojiro sat in excited silence as Kojiro’s father spun tales of evil demons who preyed on the innocent, and the warriors who defeated them. Practicing swordplay, the two swear an oath to become the strongest in the world. But as they grow up, Kojiro turns cynical, and Musashi comes to realize that he can’t turn back 150 years of demon rule on his own. He’s being called a prodigy with a pickaxe, and he’s almost ready to settle for a life of labor. Yet he can’t shake the feeling that he still has a responsibility to act\u2026and, soon, the injustices of his world will force his hand\u2026<\/p>\n
