Today (2nd Oct), Koei Tecmo announced Atelier Sophie 2: The Alchemist of the Mysterious Dream! In addition to the new game, this year, the Atelier series celebrates its 25th Anniversary.\"Atelier<\/p>\n

Atelier Sophie 2: The Alchemist of the Mysterious Dream is slated for PS4, Switch, and PC via Steam. The game is expected to launch on 24th February 2022. The game is now taking pre-orders.<\/p>\n

“Atelier Sophie 2: The Alchemist of the Mysterious Dream continues the story of Sophie and Plachta\u2019s many adventures. After leaving Sophie\u2019s hometown of Kirchen Bell, the pair discovers a huge tree identical to one that Plachta had seen in a dream, and as they get closer, a mysterious vortex pulls them inside. Sophie awakens alone in a curious new world called Erde Wiege, and it\u2019s not long before she hears about an alchemist named Plachta that lives on the outskirts of town. Shockingly, when Sophie arrives at the atelier, she meets a young alchemy enthusiast named Plachta, and even though the alchemist shares the same name as her friend, she doesn\u2019t recognize Sophie. What other surprises await Sophie on this journey? As the adventure continues, Sophie meets aspiring alchemist, Ramizel Erlenmeyer, who willingly agrees to help her in her time of need.\u00a0<\/span><\/em><\/p>\n

Players will be able to form a party of up to six characters in Atelier Sophie 2. The party formation will feature three characters in the frontline and three at the back. Players will be able to trigger twin attacks where characters will work together to take out monsters.<\/p>\n

In the gameplay demonstration during the live-stream, KOEI TECMO highlighted that the battles in Atelier Sophie 2 will have seamless transitions. When players approach a monster, the combat automatically begins and when the battle is over, players are transitioned back to exploration mode seamlessly.<\/p>\n

The synthesis will be upgraded in Atelier Sophie 2. Players will be able to use multiple ingredients during he synthesis process. As players gather new ingredients, more recipes will be unlocked. The synthesis process will feature a small puzzle game element where players will have to use different ingredients on the panel to increase the quality of the final product.<\/p>\n

A young alchemist who came to Erde Wiege\u00a0before Sophie. She spends his days exploring alchemy and accumulating knowledge. Although she is calm and\u00a0composed on the outside,\u00a0she has an emotional side, her eyes shine when face with unknown research and she tears up when she loses a game. Although she shares the same name as Sophie’s friend, she doesn’t know Sophie…?<\/p>\n

Ramizel is the\u00a0leader of\u00a0Erde Wiege who people rely on. she has a strong sense of justice and has a straightforward personality. She often ventures out to defeat monsters. As an aspiring alchemist herself, she wishes to protect Sophie and Placta, She also wishes to see both of them develop and grow.<\/p>\n

Sophie’s master and companion. Although she has a soul in the body of a doll, she continues to travel with Sophie to become\u00a0more human. Together with Sophie, she was caught in the vortex and was blown away by Erde Wiege and became separated from Sophie.<\/p>\n
