Aniplex announced that the upcoming Demon Slayer -Kimetsu no Yaiba- The Hinokami Chronicles<\/a> console game will be adding Rui and Akaza as playable characters to the Versus Mode at the first free update.<\/p>\n

Rui is the main antagonist of the Natagumo Mountain Arc holding the position of Lower Five, while Akaza holds the position of Upper Three, and first appeared at the Mugen Train arc in the battles against Kyojuro Rengoku. Four more playable characters will be joining Rui and Akaza in the free updates but the release schedule is yet to be revealed.<\/p>\n

Demon Slayer: Kimetsu no Yaiba – The Hinokami Chronicles will be released on October 15 in North America and Europe, and on October 16 in Asia for PlayStation 4, PlayStation 5, Xbox One, Xbox Series X\/S, and Steam. It will include English and Japanese voice-overs, and English, Japanese, Traditional Chinese, and Simplified Chinese subtitle options.<\/p>\n

In Solo Mode, you will follow Tanjiro to dive into the story from the \u201cDemon Slayer: Kimetsu no Yaiba\u201d anime! This game includes the events of the Tanjiro Kamado, Unwavering Resolve Arc where Tanjiro began his journey, joined the Demon Slayer Corps, and fought a variety of demons, as well as the Mugen Train Arc where he was accompanied by the Flame Hashira, Kyojuro Rengoku.<\/p>\n

12 characters from the anime, including Tanjiro Kamado and Nezuko Kamado, as well as 6 characters from the series\u2019 official spinoff, \u201cJunior High and High School!! Kimetsu Academy Story\u201d, will join the Versus Mode. You can choose any combination of 2 characters from a total of 18 characters to take part in battles!<\/p>\n
