The Sword Art Online Progressive: Scherzo of Deep Night<\/a><\/strong> anime film will open in Japan in fall 2022. Information on the main cast and staff has also been announced, together with a teaser visual.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Created by illustrator Toya, the teaser visual depicts Kirito and Asuna confronting a giant enemy and has the tagline “Go beyond”. The main cast from the anime series will reprise their roles, including Yoshitsugu Matsuoka as Kirito, Haruka Tomatsu as Asuna, and Shiori Izawa as Argo. A-1 Pictures is the animation studio. <\/p>\n\n\n\n

Sword Art Online Progressive: Scherzo of Deep Night is the second anime film based on the novel, Sword Art Online: Progressive by Reki Kawahara. The story follows the first film, Sword Art Online the Movie: Aria of a Starless Night, which was released in 2021.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Furthermore, on March 26, the movie’s limited pre-order tickets will go on sale at ANIPLEX+ in Anime Japan 2022. The tickets are completely made-to-order, with an acrylic charm featuring Kirito and Asuna’s miniature character illustrations as bonus.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
