Netflix\u00a0revealed a new trailer and key visual for Ghost in the Shell: SAC_2045<\/a><\/strong>\u00a0season 2 anime during its AnimeJapan 2022 stage event. The trailer previews the anime’s ending song “No Time to Cast Anchor” by millennium parade. Netflix also confirmed that the anime will stream worldwide on May 23. <\/p>\n\n\n\n

The story of the anime takes place in the year 2045, after an economic disaster known as the Synchronized Global Default, rapid developments in AI propelled the world to enter a state of \u201cSustainable War\u201d. However, the public is not aware of the threat that AI has towards the human race.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Full-body cyborg Major Motoko Kusanagi (CV: Atsuko Tanaka) and her second-in-command Batou (CV: Akio Otsuka) are former members of Public Security Section 9, who are now hired mercenaries traveling to the hot devastated American west coast. This land is full of opportunity for the major and her team, they utilize their enhanced cyberbrains and combat skills from their time working in Section 9.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

However, things get complicated with the emergence of \u201cpost humans,\u201d who have extreme intelligence and physical powers. The members of Section 9 comeback together again in order to face this new threat.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
