Bandai Namco Entertainment’s Sword Art Online Variant Showdown<\/strong><\/a>\u00a0PvE battle mobile game\u00a0will be having its first closed beta test from June 10 to June 14. Up to 10,000 participants will be able to join this test, and sign-up is available from today. <\/p>\n\n\n\n

SSAO Variant Showdown is a mobile game project commemorating the 10th anniversary of the Sword Art Online anime franchise. In this action game, players will control up to three party members and use a variety of skills to win battles. It is also set to feature a variety of characters from the anime series.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

\u25a0 Play as Kirito And Fight Against Five Characters!<\/strong>
In this closed beta test, you can play battles with Kirito, Asuna, Silica, Lizbeth, and Leafa in SAO Variant Showdown. Each character possesses two skin variations: The exclusive clothing for the game and another that replicates their clothes just as they appear in the anime. The skills available differ depending on the costume and rarity, allowing players to try out a variety of skills such as attack, recovery, and support.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

\u25a0 A Sneak-Peek At the Main Story!<\/strong>
In this closed beta test, a small portion of the main storyline will be available for players to play. The developers note that everything is subject to change based on feedback.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

\u25a0 Exclusive Closed Beta Event<\/strong>
A solo-only event called the “Battle Arena: Revived Blue-Eyed Demon”, will be available in the closed beta test. In this event, you can play a battle to defeat The Gleam Eyes, the first-ever boss that Kirito defeats in the anime.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

There are three difficulty levels to choose from, and players can try out various actions by operating characters that have been organized and strengthened in advance.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Rewards exclusive to the closed beta test will be available depending on the total amount of event points obtained from defeating the boss. The higher the difficulty level you select, the higher the number of points you’ll obtain.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
