Famed for making the quirky, creepy Battle Cats, PONOS brings forth a completely different mobile game – Kyoutou Project (京刀のナユタ) – today.
Kyoutou Project is a tower defense title set in Kyoto. Players control sword-wielding members of the Shinseidan whom learn the Shinsengumi’s spirit and put it into actions. The goal is to eliminate monsters that occupy the streets of Kyoto.
The command battle simply requires players to tap a character in their team to launch an attack. Each team member has a shikigami guarding her/her and adding buff.
The Shinseidan are also busy idols. Players are required to help manage their handshaking sessions, photo taking sessions, as well as their live performances.
The characters are voiced by well known artists including Tstsuya Kakihara, Yonaga Tsubasa, Daisuke Namikawa, Nobuhiko Okamoto, Yuka Iguchi, Uchida Aya, Mamiko Noto, Ohara Sayaka, Mariya Ise, Rina Hidaka, Aya Suzaki, Katsuyuki Konishi, Ayane Sakura, and Natsuki Hanae.
