Kodansha today (5th January) announces that Hajime Isayama’s “Attack on Titan” (進撃の巨人) manga will come to an end at the May issue of Bessatsu Shōnen Magazine on 9th April 2021. The manga’s 34th and final volume will be published on 9th June.
Isayama commented that “I’ve been saying since eight years ago that it will be over in three years, and it seems that I can finally finish it. It’s been a long time, but I hope you’ll stay with us until the end. The manga’s length wasn’t extended because of the requests of the editors, but rather the question ‘when will it end?’ often came up during the final push. I’m sorry, it’s finally over. I will do my best in the final episode so that you will be glad that you have read it so far.”
