Chainsaw Man‘s official Twitter account announced that the series will be returning with its second arc on July 13 on Shonen Jump +. The series ended its Public Safety Arc on December 14, 2020. The manga’s chapters will also be released on Manga Plus, Shonen Jump’s online manga reading service for free in English, Spanish, Thai, French, and Portuguese.
Chainsaw Man’s creator, Tatsuki Fujimoto is also releasing a one-shot manga with artist Oto Toda titled Listen to Me (Futsū ni Kiitekure), with Fujimoto credited for the original work on July 4. Fujimoto’s previous 200-page one-shot manga, Sayonara Eri will also be released in book form on the same day.

Chainsaw Man is a manga series following Denji, a 16-year-old boy abandoned by his father and has to pay off his debts to the Yakuza. After he meets a tiny devil named Pochita, he becomes a devil hunter for the Yakuza to clear his debt. After a series of mishaps and gruesome violence, Denji is then recruited by Makima from the Public Safety Division to hunt devils for them.
The series was nominated for the 13th Manga Taisho awards in 2019, won the best Shonen Manga category at the 66th Shogakukan Manga awards, along with many other accolades, and is even nominated for the 2022 Eisner Award.
Chainsaw Man is also being adapted into an anime, produced by studio MAPPA with the release being slated for Fall 2022.
