According to Konami’s announcement yesterday (25th May), the Yu-Gi-Oh (遊☆戯☆王) World Championship this year will officially make the franchise’s mobile game Yi-Gi-Oh! Duel Links (遊戯王 デュエルリンクス) as part of the league. Contestants will be able to compete against each other using the mobile game.
Yu-Gi-Oh World Championship is an annual trading card game competition since 2003. Even though the title has released a number of games on different platforms, the competition has always used real cards for battles. This year is the first to adopt digital cards.
